Black Hawk Illustrated

The Sikorsky S-70, aka: “Black Hawk”, “Pave Hawk”, “Jolly Green Giant”, “Seahawk”, “Knighthawk” is a world-wide workhorse. It’s amazing versatility and longevity served and continue to serve all branches of the U.S. military as well as many foreign nations. You might imagine that a design whose genesis is the 1970s, and which has been in operational use for nearly a half a century, would be dated and slated for retirement. Not so with the S-70 design, which continues to be adapted to the ever-changing demands of military and civil missions.
